Vinh Chung, M.D.

Dr. Vinh Chung is a board certified dermatologist and a fellowship-trained dermatologic surgeon. He grew up in Fort Smith, Arkansas as one of eleven children.

Dr. Chung graduated Harvard magna cum laude with a B.A. in Biology. In college, he played intramural basketball and tutored inner-city kids. He was awarded a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholarship and spent a year at the University of Edinburgh, where he earned a Master of Theology in History and Theology of Christian Doctrine. He then attended Harvard Medical School for his M.D. Amidst his medical studies, Dr. Chung studied at the University of Sydney as a Fulbright Scholar. There he played football for the university and completed a Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Dr. Chung did his medical internship at Caritas Carney Hospital in Dorchester, an inner city, immigrant community where he had volunteered extensively. He completed his dermatology residency at Emory University, where he served as Chief Resident and completed a fellowship in Mohs Micrographic Surgery.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr. Chung has published numerous studies in leading medical journals. He has presented at national medical meetings including the American College of Mohs Surgery, American Academy of Dermatology, and American Society of Dermatologic Surgery. He received the prestigious Theodore Tromovitch Award, bestowed annually to only one Mohs Fellow in the country. 

Dr. Chung is married to Leisle Chung, whom he met in high school, and they have two sons and a daughter.

Frank Samarin, M.D.
Board certified dermatologist

Dr. Frank Samarin is a board certified dermatologist. He grew up in a small town just outside of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.

Dr. Samarin attended Westminster College, a liberal arts college in western PA. Upon graduating magna cum laude, the United States Air Force awarded him a scholarship to attend medical school at MCP-Hahnemann School of Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.

Dr. Samarin practiced as a flight surgeon for the Air Force before starting dermatology residency.

Dr. Samarin completed his dermatology residency at Yale University, where he also served a year as chief resident. He was then stationed at the U.S. Air Force Academy as the Chief of Dermatology.

Dr. Samarin enjoys basketball, golf, hiking, skiing, and spending time with his family. He met his wife, Amy, in college and they now have a daughter and a son.

Rachel Frederickson, PA-C
Certified dermatology physician assistant






Rachel Frederickson is a certified dermatology physician assistant.  She grew up in suburban Chicago.

Rachel obtained her Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Illinois in Cell Biology and Anatomy. She worked as an EMT for two years before pursuing her physician assistant degree. Rachel graduated magna cum laude in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University in 2002.

She practiced dermatology in the Chicago suburbs for 8 years before following her dream of moving with her husband to the beautiful state of Colorado. Rachel has a special interest in skin cancer, acne, eczema and minor surgery.  She is a fellow member of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants, the American Academy of Physician Assistants and the Colorado Society of Dermatology Professionals.

Rachel enjoys traveling, photography, knitting and discovering nature with her husband and son.
