Terri Nagy, PA-C
Dermatology Physician Assistant
Terri Nagy has been a board-certified physician assistant since 1998. She practices medical dermatology, caring for patients in all age groups and all skin conditions.
Practicing as a physician assistant is Terri’s second career. She earned her undergraduate degree in criminology from Ohio State University in 1991, and she is a huge fan of the Buckeyes. She spent several years as a social worker helping at-risk infants, young children, and adolescents prior to being accepted into her Physician Assistant program in 1996. She earned her degree in physician assistant studies through Cuyahoga Community College, graduating summa cum laude. She then continued her education by completing a postgraduate physician assistant residency in primary care at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1999. In 2003, Terri was awarded her master's of science degree in physician assistant studies from University of Nebraska College of Medicine.
As a physician assistant, Terri has worked in internal medicine, family medicine, and dermatology. She joined her first dermatology practice in 2003 and has been taking care of her patients’ skin concerns ever since.
Terri has a true passion to make a positive impact on the lives of others. She has participated in several medical mission trips to Kenya and Peru to provide healthcare to those with the greatest needs. She is also an adjunct college instructor and a mentor to new physician assistant students and colleagues who wish to enter into the field of dermatology. Terri has spoken locally and nationally for numerous organizations, including the American Academy of Physician Assistants.
Terri has earned national recognition as a diplomate fellow through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and as a distinguished fellow through the American Academy of Physician Assistants, an honor given to only 2% of PAs.
PERSONAL HISTORY
Terri grew up in Northeast Ohio, home of Lebron James, NFL Football Hall of Fame, and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame. She is one of five children. In high school, she played clarinet in the band, and was actively involved in the Marine Biology program. Terri worked several jobs in high school including working at a pizza carryout window, selling shoes at a mall, and working as a floor guard at the local roller-skating rink.
Originally, Terri had the idea of becoming a marine biologist, and she headed to college at the University of North Carolina at Wilmington. She lived at Forfar Field Station on Andros Island in the Bahamas for almost a year before she realized her true passion: to have a positive impact on the lives of others. It was then she transferred to Ohio State University and studied criminology. She worked her way through college by washing UPS trucks.
Terri’s daughter, Ashley, also lives here in Colorado. The two of them love being outdoors, attending sporting events and film fests, traveling together, starting new adventures, enjoying craft beers and interesting wines, and trying new recipes. Terri is a novice photographer and fly fisherwoman. She is also the proud momma of a sheepadoodle named Lily and a senior cat named Chester.
