About Afghan Evacuees
How You Can Help
Monetary donations provide the greatest flexibility and fill a significant need. Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains (LFSRM) is one of three resettlement agencies in Colorado and the sole refugee resettlement agency for Colorado Springs.
Vanguard Skin Specialists is partnering with LFSRM to raise funds for resettlement of Afghan evacuees in Colorado Springs.
For every dollar you donate, Vanguard will match your donation.
You will be directed to the Lutheran Family Services Rocky Mountains website to donate. Vanguard Skin Specialists is matching donations 100% up to $100,000 in total.
Other Ways to Contribute
In addition to providing monetary donation, you can also assist with much needed resources.
- Volunteer your time to become a cultural mentor, tutor, or on-call volunteer to help with move in's. Starting at an hour a month, you can help welcome a family.
- Donate new or gently used items to help give refugees a warm welcome. Here is the list of needed items in Colorado Springs.
- LFSRM is in need of long-term storage space (2,000 to 5,000 square feet) that can be readily accessed throughout the day and is centrally located in Colorado Springs. Please contact LFSRM.
