PERSONAL HISTORY

Tamara was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs. She spent her summers camping, fishing, and hiking, so she developed an early love of the outdoors.

Tamara met her husband while they both attended Valparaiso University. Together, they moved to Iowa where Tamara worked as a CNA/cardiac telemetry monitor. Following graduation from PA school at Augsburg College in Minneapolis, Tamara practiced medicine in Illinois to be closer to her family.

She started her PA career in family medicine but quickly developed a special interest in dermatology. Tamara appreciates the connection she makes with her dermatology patients.

Tamara is thrilled to join the Vanguard team and fulfill her dream of living close to the mountains. In her free time, Tamara enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, and enjoying the outdoors. She lives in Colorado Springs with her husband and three daughters.
