Dermatology Physician Assistant
Megan diagnoses and treats a variety of dermatology concerns focusing on skin cancer screenings, skin care counseling, and pediatric dermatology.
She completed her BS in environmental health at the University of Georgia, graduating cum laude, and her master in physician assistant studies at the Medical University of South Carolina.
Megan’s passion for health and stewardship encompasses both the environment and the community. While at the University of Georgia, she contributed to a research group that monitored and studied air quality and its implications in Cusco, Peru.
During her graduate studies, Megan collaborated in research assessing trends in pediatric obesity in Charleston, South Carolina. She also served on a volunteer team performing medical mission work in Haiti.
Megan has earned nationally recognized diplomate status through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. She also routinely precepts physician assistant students on clinical rotation, and mentors undergraduate students interested in health professions.
PERSONAL HISTORY
Megan grew up in Chattanooga, Tennessee, a growing city nestled in the foothills of the Appalachians that is popular with outdoor enthusiasts. She studied environmental health at the University of Georgia. During her undergraduate years, she spent several months working, studying, and traveling in Central America, South America, and Europe, including two months working for Habitat for Humanity in Costa Rica.
Megan graduated cum laude from the University of Georgia and attended the Medical University of South Carolina where she earned her master’s degree in physician assistant studies. After finishing the PA program, she joined a medical team serving in Montrouis, Haiti.
Megan has enjoyed working in the field of dermatology since becoming a certified physician assistant in 2009. She also achieved diplomate status through the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants and continues to advocate for the profession. She lived in middle and southeastern Tennessee until relocating to Colorado Springs in 2017. Megan continues to enjoy traveling as well as spending time with her two children and running and cycling.
