What is Give Thanks?

This is our Thanksgiving event to recognize local charities that make a significant impact on our communities. It is sponsored by Vanguard Skin Specialists and Clara (medical aesthetic skincare brought to you by Vanguard)

It’s our way of thanking you for the incredible work you do!

How do we select charities?

We will feature up to ten charities in Give Thanks. To be eligible, your organization must be a 501c3 with headquarters or a location where Vanguard has a medical office (Douglas, El Paso, Fremont, Otero, Pueblo and Teller Counties).

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, we will select charities which focus on helping children and/or families in need. Your beneficiaries may be local, national or overseas.

The campaign will take place during the month of November. All charities will be showcased on Vanguard and Clara’s social media platforms and through displays in our offices. There are the following award categories:

People’s Choice Award: Selected based on the total number of votes received on social media. Voting will take place through Facebook from November 5 to November 29.

Vanguard Impact Award: Selected by Vanguard Skin Specialists for a charity that has made a lasting, meaningful and sustainable contribution to vulnerable members of a community where Vanguard has an office.

Clara Share the Merry Award: Selected by Clara for a charity that empowers women or children in the Colorado Springs community.

Winners will be announced publicly on December 4. Organizations will be notified of results on December 2.

What are the grant sizes this year?

People’s Choice Award: $10,000

Vanguard Impact Award: $10,000

Clara Share the Merry Award: $10,000

Runners Up: $500

*A winner of the Impact Award or Share the Merry Award is also eligible for the People’s Choice Award. Runners Up is for those who are in the top 10 charities but did not receive an award.

How can my organization apply?

To apply, email ­­­­ktobey@vanguardskin.com a 1-page letter or email with (1) description of your organization and the impact you make in 500 words or less, (2) link to your website, and (3) link or attachment with your last 2 annual reports.

Deadline to apply is October 28, 2021.

Clara is Vanguard’s aesthetic retail division providing quality, medical grade skincare products. Clara donates 20% of product sales or all profits (whichever is greater) to charities that support women and children here and around the world. 2021 Q4 donations are allocated to Give Thanks for local charities, and any remainder will be donated to World Vision.
