To my future patients:
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself. My name is Dr. James Banich, and I am a board-certified Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon new to Colorado. It is my honor to serve you in what I have come to realize is one of the most beautiful places on Earth.
I graduated Princeton University and then attended medical school at Stritch School of Medicine at Loyola University, where I also completed residency training in both otolaryngology and general plastic surgery. For 10 years, I have served patients in Northwest Wisconsin, serving as the sole plastic surgeon at the Mayo Health System – Eau Claire, Wisconsin, a Level 2 Trauma center, and largest community hospital in the Mayo Health System. I was a true general plastic surgeon, performing breast and skin cancer reconstruction, wound care, facial trauma, as well as cosmetic and functional eyelid surgery, rhinoplasty and breast and body contouring. My practice was awarded numerous times for patient satisfaction, to the point I was placed in charge of the hospital’s Patient Experience Work group in 2015.
I have seen my practice grow, but my family of 4 children began to outgrow the experiences afforded by Eau Claire. I decided to go west, and if I were to force my family to uproot, it would be a place of growth and beauty – which I feel immediately when I set foot in Colorado Springs.
I’ve been blessed to have an opportunity to join Vanguard Skin Specialists. I will be performing skin cancer surgery and reconstruction, as well as a full general plastic service line, including breast and body contouring, facial cosmetic surgery, rhinoplasty, non-operative aesthetics and ultimately breast cancer reconstruction.
I look forward to the chance to serve you in our Colorado Springs and Pueblo locations. It is with great joy and excitement that I begin my work in Colorado.
