Wrinkle relaxers are used to treat facial lines that are caused by repeated muscle contractions. For example, frowning can cause the “11” between your brows and raising eyebrows can cause forehead wrinkles. BOTOX® and XEOMIN® are quick 10-minute treatments that can reduce the underlying muscle activity. This can help smooth existing wrinkles and prevent future wrinkles.

The primary areas that can benefit from BOTOX® include the forehead, between the brows, and Crow’s feet.

BOTOX® and XEOMIN® are both types of botulinum toxin injections. They are used for the treatment of dynamic lining and are both considered relatively safe for qualified candidates. BOTOX® Cosmetic includes some accessory proteins along with the botulinum toxin. XEOMIN® does not contain these protein additives.

It typically takes 3-4 days to see the results of XEOMIN® and 24 – 48 hours for BOTOX®. Maximum effects can take 30 days. Expect to see results last approximately 4 months for both.

While BOTOX® Cosmetic and XEOMIN® work to relax the underlying muscles that can cause wrinkles; filler adds volume and lift to the face.

As we age, we lose approximately 1 teaspoon of volume in our face every year. The volume loss can enhance jowls and a tired appearance. Dermal fillers are injected at varying depths of the skin to restore volume loss for a lift as well as to correct dermal etched lines and wrinkles.

Each filler has different properties, so your injector will need to evaluate your face and your desired result to make a recommendation on both the type of filler and the number of vials required. We use different fillers based on the area to inject and the depth of the injection.

Typically, multiple vials of filler (often of different types) are used during a session to reach optimal results.

Filler is used to do the following:

• Plump the cheeks to provide lift to the overall lower portion of the face.
• Plump the folds that run from the bottom of the nose to the corners of the mouth.
• Reduce the lines and creases around the mouth.
• Augment thin or aging lips.
• Fill in surface fine lines.
• Augmentation of the chin to improve chin profile.

Depending on the filler, results will last 1 to 2 years.

Kybella® is a prescription medication and is injected to address submental fat (“double chin”). Through a series of FDA-approved injections, it can help breakdown fat cells under the chin and reduce the “double chin” appearance.

Most individuals will begin to see results in 2 to 4 treatments. The clinical trials were based on 6 treatments.
