Bio

Aeja Weiss, MD, FAAD is a board-certified dermatologist dedicated to providing comprehensive, evidence-based care to patients of all ages.

Born in Orlando, Florida, Dr. Weiss earned her Bachelor of Arts in Biological Sciences from the University of Chicago. After college, she lived in Guatemala, where she learned Spanish and volunteered with the local Red Cross and firefighters. This experience strengthened her commitment to service and caring for diverse patient populations.

She received her Doctor of Medicine from the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences, where she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She completed her internship and dermatology residency at the San Antonio Uniformed Services Health Education Consortium. During her time in San Antonio, she met her husband, Max, and they enjoy cycling and traveling together.

Dr. Weiss’s clinical interests include skin cancer detection and treatment, dermatologic surgery, and complex medical dermatology. She previously served as Dermatology Medical Director at Yokota Air Base in Japan, where she collaborated with and taught international physicians. She has authored multiple peer-reviewed publications and has presented at national dermatology meetings. She currently serves as an Assistant Professor of Dermatology at the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.

She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology and the Association of Military Dermatologists and has received multiple military and professional honors throughout her career.

Her global health experience includes dermatology work in Botswana through an international grant program, where she focused on tropical and HIV-related skin conditions in resource-limited settings.

Outside of medicine and travel, Dr. Weiss enjoys photography, creative design, going to the movies, and community service. She believes in patient education and shared decision-making and strives to provide thoughtful, individualized care grounded in the best available evidence.

Dr. Weiss has had the opportunity to live and work overseas, including living in Guatemala and serving as a dermatologist in Japan.

Dr. Weiss loves traveling and outdoor adventures, including cycling with her husband. Their recent trips have included exploring volcanoes, waterfalls, and national parks.
