Bio

Rachel Frederickson has been a board-certified dermatology physician assistant (PA-C) since 2002. She first graduated with a BS in Cell Biology and Anatomy from the University of Illinois–Champaign-Urbana. During her undergrad years, Rachel received her EMT (emergency medical technician) certification and worked for two years in a local hospital. She then graduated magna cum laude with a degree in Physician Assistant Studies from Midwestern University College of Health Sciences in suburban Chicago.

Rachel practiced medical and surgical dermatology for years in Chicago before following her lifelong dream of moving to the beautiful state of Colorado in 2012, when she joined Vanguard.

She specializes in medical dermatology and cares for families and individuals of all ages, managing acne, rosacea, eczema, and a variety of rashes. In addition, she offers thorough skin cancer screenings and performs biopsies when needed, with a strong emphasis on education to help her patients feel informed and confident about their skin health.

Rachel has a particular interest and expertise in contact dermatitis. She performs comprehensive patch testing to identify skin allergies and develop personalized treatment plans.

Rachel loves her profession and her patients and is passionate about delivering exceptional patient care. She brings warmth, expertise, and encourages questions, believing that knowledge and connection are the foundation of healthy skin.
