Bio

Dr. Vinh Chung was born in Vietnam after the fall of Saigon. His family fled as refugees by boat and began a new life in the United States. Growing up in Fort Smith, Arkansas, as one of eleven children, he became an All-State football player, valedictorian, and the first in his family to become a doctor.

Dr. Chung graduated magna cum laude from Harvard University and earned his medical degree from Harvard Medical School. He also studied overseas, earning a Master of Theology from the University of Edinburgh in Scotland as a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar and a Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences at the University of Sydney as a Fulbright Scholar. These experiences give him a unique perspective on faith, humanity, and healing.

In 2009, Dr. Chung and his wife, Leisle, founded Vanguard Skin Specialists in Colorado Springs with a mission to serve patients, the community, and the world. Dr. Chung has served on the Board of Directors for World Vision, the largest Christian humanitarian organization in the world.
