Meet Dr. Renata Prado: A Passion for Dermatology and Helping Others
Dr. Renata Prado is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained, board-certified Mohs Micrographic Surgeon whose dedication to her patients extends far beyond the procedure room.
Originally from Brazil, Dr. Prado and her husband have called the United States home for the past 24 years. After becoming proud U.S. citizens in 2020, they continued building their lives in Colorado Springs with their two sons, embracing everything Colorado has to offer, from its beautiful mountains and outdoor adventures to the strong sense of community they have found here.
For Dr. Prado, dermatology has never been just a career.
“I feel grateful to be able to use my knowledge and skills to cure skin cancer while getting to know my patients at a personal level,” says Dr. Prado. “I am truly blessed to do what I do.”
Ten Years of Serving Southern Colorado
After joining Vanguard Skin Specialists more than 10 years ago, Dr. Prado quickly found a team whose mission reflected her own passion for serving others.
“Working at Vanguard has been a constant source of inspiration for me,” she shares. “I joined the practice because of how its mission aligned with my values, but I never expected to find such a cohesive group of like-minded individuals who were constantly inspiring me to be a better person, to be more involved, and to better serve.”
