To date, more than 30 participants from our Pre-Health program have successfully transitioned into esteemed medical professions, including MDs, DOs, physician assistants, and anesthesiology assistants. Join us on your path to a fulfilling medical career!
Gain hands-on exposure in a fast-paced dermatology and plastic surgery practice, working directly with providers and patients to develop real-world medical skills.
Build your professionalism through mentorship, teamwork, and daily interaction with physicians, PAs, NPs, and MAs who model excellence in patient care.
Participate in pre-health meetings and events throughout the year, including info sessions on health career paths, Q&A discussions about choosing between PA, NP, or MD programs, and mock interviews led by our providers.
Attend specialized workshops such as our suture clinic with plastic surgeons to practice procedural skills and strengthen your clinical confidence.
Team members who remain with Vanguard for two or more years are eligible for a stipend to assist with graduate school applications or other advanced career opportunities.
Engage in meaningful volunteer projects both in our local communities and in global outreach programs, reinforcing Vanguard’s mission to serve others through medicine.
Our medical assistants join us from various backgrounds—there is no “right” major, but someone with potential to go on to a graduate medical program is ideal. Our people do share some common qualities, including excellent academic performance, leadership abilities, and experience working on or off campus. We look for curious thinkers with potential—we will teach you the rest!
